Another entry in the showcase a great polymathic creator series. While this video is now a couple years old, yikes shows my procrastination at work, it still holds valuable information.
I started this series to showcase other polymathy related creators, and to share my knowledge on the topics they discuss as well. Then maybe/hopefully they'll come onto the Polymath Polycast too!
Check out the related video to this post:
"I'm an engineer in the tech space. I'm also pursuing oil painting right now. I'm a certified fitness coach in kind of the lifting space, and I also do public speaking, and content creation."
-Adama Lorna
She definitely embodies the multi-passionate flow of a polymathic lifestyle. In her video she talks about the various resources/tools to organize one's multi life. I wanted to share her video, give it more attention, as well as share my two cents on the topics as well! I'm not affiliated with her at all, just wanted to highlight a great video.

Please watch her video fully before going forward with my post, so that you can get around the topics she discusses more first!
My take on her categories
Base of Operations - Obisidian Vault / PKM
Okay when I was watching the video again for this post I realized that just even two years ago people were still obsessed with Notion. There's a high chance she is still using it, but in my experience after half a decade of using it; It has gone way downhill, and the speed was abysmal at times.
One of the major reasons I left was that the databases would lag so bad it almost seemed like I was losing data in the loading. Additionally, AWS would go down more often than you would think, and then so would Notion. After I moved to the local first Obsidian, I realized that with plugins it can do way more than any other PKM tool. I don't want to rant too long here cause I love OBSD, but I think for multi-faceted people we need that kind of extensibility of the plugins.
Take a note - Daily Journals
Given that we usually have a lot going on in our lives, our minds, there needs to be a place were we can put it down. Not just for task management, although that is part of it.
The other angle is that when you have multiple things going on, it can be hard to remember the details about events, as you are switching to the next so fast. It is very nice to be able to go back to old notes, and see how you have evolved since.
Stream of Consciousness - Idea capture
The idea is "just write" as she said in the video, and I couldn't agree more. The mind dumping effect of just flow writing is really helpful. Clears your mind, helps you process thoughts, and gets things down + documented.
Its actually the main philosophy as to why I created ✒️ Fireside Codex tag on here. That is my stream of consciousness writing.
Artificial Intelligent - Local AI Assistant
I think given the context of the year this video was from, it makes a lot of sense what she is saying. I think I would have aligned a LOT with her opinions. However NOW in 2026 I would argue chatgpt is not worth it anymore.
It is perhaps worse than GOOGLE when it comes to data privacy, which is a real shocker considering how bad google is with your data. I still would choose gemini over GPT. However we also have Claude now which is a hell of a lot better than both of them. The multi-faceted person though would more than likely jump between each of them. Just be mindful of your settings, and to periodically delete your chats. (I export them to my obsidian vault first).
The best approach would be to have a local LLM on your machine to chat with instead, and that also leads it to being able to connect with your Obsidian vault for an even greater understanding of who you are. More on that here: From PKM to JARVIS
Inspiration - Learning
I can't say much on pinterest, I do think that even to this day it is more of a thing that women use as opposed to men. Statistically I mean. It is a great platform though for trying to get ideas. I mostly just post to it, than consume the media.
This category made me think of 🎓 Self-Education - Modular Degree, which was the endeavor that started PolyInnovator in the first place. Polymathic people tend to be self-learners by default.
Having a framework, my DIY modegree for example, is crucial for managing multiple interests over time.
Creation - Content
The tools she lists there are better options now, i.e. OpenCut instead of Capcut, but regardless her point still stands.
Being able to share your knowledge and thought processes with your community.
I personally love making content, and its why I made this Polymathy newsletter as well that you are reading.

Organizing your interests
It really comes down to using a system you can reliably access, and get yourself to use every single day.
She somewhat alludes to it in the video, but just being able to get yourself to journal or actually use the project management databases you have. When you're juggling multiple interests you can't just rely on your brain solely.
A specialist would have a hard time remembering everything, and that is only for their sole expertise. As a generalist you don't even have the luxury of trying to remember it all, its too much to handle, and it is what causes burnout.
You need a system to put the ideas "to paper" as they say, and one that can retrieve the information back to you. Ideally automatically, but at least easily if manual.
