OpusClip is the number 1 video clipping and content repurposing tool on the market. There have been over 70+ clones of it, and dozens of tools have added "clips" to their feature list. I've tried nearly all of them at some point, but none of them compare.

Two ways in particular:

  1. the number of clips found.
  2. the quality of the clips found.

Prior to Opus there were only a few tools on the market, they would find maybe a dozen clips in an hour video. OpusClip finds at least 30 in that same video. In my experience out of those 12 or 30 only about 80% of them would be usable, however Opus is the only tool that I'd argue its gotten to about 85% usability. The non-useable ones are just things like duplicates, intro, or something like that. Pretty normal for repurposing tools on the market.

In addition to these two major factors, Opus was the FIRST to do an actual reframe of the clip. Meaning if there were two speakers I could have them stacked on top of each other for proper viewing on short form video platforms. None of the tools did it prior, and Opus has added more reframe views since then.

Why am I making this post today?

I am offering a done for you service, where you give me a channel or list of videos, and I run them all through OpusClip. I've done this in the past for some podcast friends who needed help due to bandwidth, or being able to make time for it.

I'd charge a few hundred bucks and I'd throw their whole podcast playlist, or even whole channel if the solo videos were crucial; Then they'd get a folder with all the clips ready to post for them to go.

Today I wanted to expand that offering to you, and if you are interested then we can discuss cost/time. It is relative to the size of the workload of course, and the complexity of the videos. For example a show about Polymathy is going to lead to more complex topics, and thus the clips will be more effort to find. However if its a simple talking head video, then those will be a lot quicker.

How does the service work?

It is based on criteria of complexity, such as the video topics, length, or amount of visuals on screen. I.e. screenshare based videos often add more work to the reframe layout, as sometimes reframe can skew placement, and it takes a fix to align it right. Or maybe switching between fill or fit views, etc.

Once we agree on a price for "x" amount of videos of "x" complexity (x being different for each client), then I get started on the project.

I'm usually pretty fast at getting through them.
