Anyways, I wanted to share with you my troubles, and just what has been going on. I will say this post and the video are pretty separate for once, so check out both! I've been glum this week because a friend of mine moved back to Korea, across the world, and its just something I've had to face a lot living in a college town. Stings a bit, bittersweet, as I know the opportunity for her will be better there in her case. Prior to this I had a data loss scare, and I almost lost all of my important stuff. As things weren't recently backed up, so please make sure everything is backed up for your data! Having a home server helps with this, but some of it is manual still. ## What am I doing... NOW? August 2026 My mental health is tearing itself a new one because I'm so behind on content (look at the screen shot in the next section, look at how many BLANK days there are). At the start of the year I planned out at least one piece of content for EVERY DAY of the year, and I've certainly failed at that. Not to mention I now have 3 interviews I need to get out asap. I wonder if I can train an ai model to edit my videos haha. Idk I can't find an editor at the moment. I've been making progress towards the degoogle/ de-big tech company endeavor. I'm going to move fully to linux once I feel my video editing is capable there (see screenshot for what my linux looks like!). --- #### PIOS Screenshot: ![](https://www.polyinnovator.space/content/images/2026/08/image.png) Taking on CachyOS Niri Linux with special CSS This is the most the screenshots have changed in probably a couple years, and there's a few reasons for it. Firstly, this isn't how it looks on my current main computer (my windows desktop). As it is taken on my next main computer I'm switching to (cachy linux laptop). It also won't look like this on mobile either, which I finally have thanks to Sync. I tried a few different syncing options, including sync thing, but they all failed. Sync official from Obsidian is what I had to go with, and it works a lot better than it used to. One thing to note is that if you're on android (phone or tablet), and I would assume its worse on iOS actually; That you need to make sure your phone stays awake during the syncing process. I think that was my issue the last time, and now there's a setting to not let it go to sleep while syncing. iOS I'm not sure if its fully supported too. The theme has changed a few times I like Manuscript and RetroLarper, but those were not transparent (note the retro larper does look really cool on the transparent linux install). The css source called for a theme called Zen which looked great, but would hide certain menu elements I needed. Although the basic point of it is making my own ai assistant like Jarvis. I don't think the projects I've seen so far have come anywhere close. Even the impressive ones are made as an attention seeking measure, not actually to accomplish tasks. Or they are just claude mcp/cowork wrappers, and that is about it. They don't actually have the arms and brain to do and think stuff. I came up with a tech stack that I think will beat out all of the rest. There still is a lot of content coming up with great topics. I've failed at working on my big projects this year: the PIOS template and my books. However I'm hoping with my new laptop and linux that I'll be more productive. ### Things I am consuming: Finally got access to newer seasons of Digimon, and I'm excited to check out the seasons/series that I hadn't watched growing up. Just one of those shows that reminds me of my youth. Plus some of the more recent seasons are more mature plot threads. Even how much data we personally give them unknowingly. Google is one of the major tech orgs, and they are egregious.
