While not one of the strongest categories on PolyTools I'll admit, there are a lot of things that I think people don't realize are out there.
My intention with the database as whole anyways, was to showcase tools you probably haven't seen before, or at the very least seen in a while. This particular category post is a bit more obvious than usual. However I still think it will be helpful to a lot of people.
#5 - Audacity
I'm putting this here simply because no other tool has seem to come close to the wide spread use of this FREE audio editing tool.
Adobe Audition has replaced the use case for a lot of creators, but it is pretty expensive. Other than that I can't think of a tool that people can use, maybe Fairlight in Davinci Resolve, but that complexity turns off a lot of people.
Other than getting an actual full fledged DAW, or Digital Audio Workstation, there isn't anything as simple (not to mention again FREE) like Audacity.
#4 - YouTube Auto Dubbing
This is more of a feature than a tool, but it is something so important that I thought it deserved a spot. For many years big creators like Gary Vee or Mr. Beast would pay voice actors (a ton of money) to voice them in other languages, so that they could create channels in those languages.
It was something that really only they could do at that scale because of cost.
With the rise of translation, AI, and translocalizing tools. The platform itself stepped up to include translation, and even lipsyncing in some cases, for the average youtubers. It is still rolling out to everybody, but this feature will automatically translate your content built into the platform.
#3 - Magic Editing by Riverside FM or Podcastle AI
While not the best on the market, which we'll get to next, the fact that these podcast recording tools have an editor that can auto enhance your audio is still pretty useful.
Basically in some cases I've literally thrown my video into Riverside, simply to use the audio enhancement feature. To fix a video where the mic is too far away, the guest's mic gain was too high, etc.
Not a huge fan of Podcastle's implementation of it the last few times I tried it, but I wanted to include an alternative to Riverside in case you don't already use them.
#2 - Adobe Podcast
Probably would be the top of this list if it weren't for a different tool claiming that spot. Simply because this audio enhancement is unmatched. Overall the quality of how it removes background noise, enhances speech, and overall clarity is fantastic.
I've thrown a number of audios in there, and honestly maybe I need to pay for the premium, as you can't do over 30 min on free plan, or use video on free plan. Which means you have to separate audio, then merge it back later, that is if it is under 30min.
Regardless this is the best if you need to fix a video's/podcast's terribly recorded audio.
#1 - ElevenLabs
Ironically I rated this my most "overrated" tool on my upcoming post about overrated tools for each category. However I stand by the fact that I think it is still the top audio tool as well.
There is just so much going for with this company, and they keep cranking new features. Not to mention new ways for you to repurpose audio. Either audio you bring in, or audio you generate from text with Elevenlabs.
