Just a quick post I was motivated to make as I was doing something interesting with my latest interview video. For some reason the recorded file wouldn’t load into an editor, just a wonky mp4 probably because I recorded off of my phone and downloaded from Google Photos or something. I digress.
The point is that it wouldn’t work in Davinci Resolve, and it didn’t even load into Riverside which I use in rare occasions for editing. However OpusClip did seem to take it in! Along with that I can crop the excess wall behind the guest, as I didn’t aim the camera as well as I could have. Not to mention cut out ums/uhs, pauses, add b-roll (iffy on the longer videos but I tried!), and even add captions.

Why do I bring this up? Well actually Opus is allowing me to take this one interview, and chop it up in many ways. Not just clips!
Firstly I’m getting a full length video, great alright we knew that, but also I’m going to reframe it after it loads the first way. Into a vertical full length version that I’ll post to Tiktok. Then I’ll run it again (only twice total), to get short form video clips!
The actual main purpose of this post is not to sell Opus to you, but rather to get you thinking more 3D with your content pieces. They do not need to be only one dimensional. The audio will get cut out this call, and turned into a podcast as well.
Note: the room we recorded in sort of sucked for sound quality, and my mics weren’t as good at picking us up as I had hoped. I’m probably going to throw this into Adobe Podcast to enhance the audio (Opus audio enhance still doesn’t seem to work), and Riverside wouldn’t take the video originally.
From here I could make quote images/tweets, mid form clips, and more.
Today I have been making carousels on Instagram from my trip, I made three, and I have another one lined up as well. I have a few short form videos I recorded and then reframed today. I have a full length panel of both of the Karate Kids talking, so I’m going to release that on Tiktok vertically, and then clip it up as well. Probably not posting to YouTube, but I could!
Despite the fact that I prepped for two interviews tomorrow, working on one tonight (aforementioned in this post), made tons of clips from various videos, scheduled out some written posts, instagram posts, and more. I still feel like making more content.
Not only am I just in the right mindset for creativity, so might as well use that. I also feel like I am behind in my own plans, so that is a driving force as well!
2026 Update:
The focus of this post was intentionally being able to put out a higher degree of content. Both not just in quantity, but quality of that higher amount too. You don't want to just put out slop, which is why automating it with AI is usually not a good idea. Taking a strong written piece, then using AI to chop it up? Not bad, but still would be good to take a human twist to it.
My real advice is get good at being able to increase YOUR throughput. There are always new strategies or tools, but the real factor only YOU can change is your ability to execute.
Even today I am catching up from a really poorly done week, where I missed a few days. My intention was to do daily content, and hell half of the posts in Feb were just updated ones like this today. Meaning its not like I had to do much, but alas my motivation faltered for whatever reasons.
However today I am going through a sprint to catch up. It doesn't matter that I missed those days, as that is truly just something I wanted, but what matters is that the content GETS OUT.
We establish all of these rules in our heads: don't post too much in one day, post once a day for daily content, make sure you do this or that, but all of those are just made up rules. Either by ourselves, or taught by some guru you follow.
I mean even what I am writing right now is still just that, but what I am trying to do is help you break the "rules" you have previously been taught. There are a lot of things you CAN do, and really it doesn't matter when you post. Want to post at midnight because that is when you were able to finish editing? Do it. If you really really care about timing then schedule it for the next morning, there are no real rules. Sure posting at a more optimal time will help you sometimes, but it is not something that truly matters.
If your content is good, then it will get seen in the long run. What matters is that you put out as many of your ideas, plans, as possible. The more you do, then the more chances you have to be discovered. Who cares about competition? Who cares about what you did before? Did you make a post you don't think is that great anymore? Leave it up, and remake it. Create a "sequel" post, and explain how your thought process has changed.
I'm writing this updated post because truly there is not enough content out there to teach people how to scale up what they are doing. How to think in a more producing mindset, and that you don't need to be perfect. You simply need to take more action.
