Well firstly I learned my lesson after my previous semi-successful publication, 🏊 Mr. Dustin's Swim Academy, which I basically tore down when I moved it over to this site.
However the publication 🔧 The Content Polymath - OmniChannel Content was a bit different. I knew that I wanted to keep historical context, as well as the opportunity for any new people to find my works via substack notes. Meaning tearing it down again would be a bad idea.
I'm actually making this post in the MIDDLE of doing this process. Now it could be easy to just export a CSV or something (maybe a python script, etc). However I think that for your audience that would be less than ideal.

What do I mean by that?
Well firstly depending on your niche, things could have been posted that were more time sensitive, and that means that if you just repost it then that is kind of gross. Simply bugging them for no reason. In some cases you might have to repost that, but you can just not announce/post about it. Just let it slide in.
However in other cases, like for most of these posts, they are educational in nature. Therefore more evergreen, although I'm taking this opportunity to give them a bit more of an update or polish.
Why am I doing this?
Over the years I have played with other CMS tools or newsletter tools, and I wanted to create a separate brand. However they always end up coming back into the fold with my OmniBlog (omni = all, all topics in one place).
I don't care about context or niching down. Each tag is that of its own niche, meaning people can follow me for any of these individual categories. Maybe I can create a newsletter for each of the main tags, so that people can at least choose which ones they get. Its too bad I can't just do an all in one newsletter too, I did once before with MailBrew.
I find that the Ghost CMS interface, and organization of my theme just simply does better in the long run having it all in one place. Plus then everything is searchable, indexable, and cross compatible in one place too.
Compiling, additions, and added Context
The limited Substack interface actually impedes writing at times, and while yes there are video or audio posts, and you can do some interesting repurposing or promoting on Substack. The platform's cons outweigh the pros.
Thus every post I basically decided to give a fresh coat of paint, there were a couple I think I left as they were. However they just didn't really have anything more to add. The remaining posts I usually did a "2026 Update" section, where I either added more recent context, or I added a significant writing section.
In some cases it came down to compiling, such as Compilation of Livestreams - Creator Coaching, Strategy, and Tools for example. I had experimented with livestreams on the Substack LIVE. They technically were their own posts on Substack, but it didn't make sense to do that here.
I would have to write out full blogs in order to make them individual posts here. At least based on my own thought process/rules. Although I think some of them were insightful, they were more coaching or ramblings than anything.
Thus I put them all together in one post, with a couple others standalone.
Another example of compiling would be the How to Be a Modern Content Creator Mini Series. It was the only paid post I had made on the Substack, and really it technically is free over there if you want to read it. However I added new context to make it a worthwhile paid option here for 👾 PolyPRO.
Other posts ended up getting merged or remade. I don't think I scrapped anything, maybe a "news" update post about moving over. However that was already redundant with a similar post here.
What comes next?
While I might consider cross posting to Substack in the future, as there really is nothing stopping me from doing so besides my own "rules". I think that the series does better on this site, or on Ghost in general (as the PolyTools brand also had its own Ghost site). Meaning this newsletter has been moved more than twice.
I do not intend on moving it again, but maybe in the future I can do something more with the Content Polymath/PolyTools brand.
I will still play around with Substack, and technically I do have my podcasts on there. However I do not like that in the long run. For now expect to see all of the content related posts to be here on this site! :D
